y son, I am the Lord, “a refuge in times of trouble”.† “Come to me all who are weary and burdened.” †
This most of all hinders heavenly consolation, that you are slow in turning to prayer. For before you earnestly ask of Me, you seek other comforts, and refresh yourself in outward things. And so it comes to pass that all profits you little, until you remember that it is I who bring hope in Me; and that outside of Me there is neither powerful help, nor profitable counsel, nor lasting remedy.
But, having now recovered breath after the tempest, gather strength again in the light of My tender mercies. For I am at hand, says the Lord, to repair all, not only entirely, but also abundantly and with increase. Is there anything too hard for Me? Or will I be like one that says and does not?  Where is your faith? Stand firmly and with perseverance; be longsuffering, and a man of courage; comfort will come in due time. Wait for Me, yes, wait; I will come and heal you.
It is a temptation that vexes you, and a vain fear that affrights you. What else does anxiety about future accidents bring you but sorrow upon sorrow? “Each day has enough trouble of its own”.† It is a vain thing and
